- I am a retired bellydance teacher who used to paint landscapes in oils.
I now spend my time making beautiful Fractal images and hope to help bring fractals into the world of art through my work.
I use several computer programs including Apophysis, Fractal Explorer, Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop.
We are on the threshold of a new era with digital art and contrary to some peoples belief it is not all done by the computer. A great deal of personal skill is required to produce and present an image as a work of art.

Good luck with this new venture to everyone involved. It is great to see something this good from this side of the pond... Not that I have any objections to the other side...
I hope you get lots of members who contribute regularly and make it all a great success. Digital art particularly can be a difficult subject to tackle. However it is part and parcel of the age in which we live and needs to be a fully recognised art form.
